Jose Luis (Jeric) Aranez, MD
Dr. Jose Luis (Jeric) Aranez, MD joins Long Beach Gastroenterology Associates in 2020 after finishing his Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy training from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
He received his medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean and completed his Internal Medicine and Chief Medical Residency from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He then completed his Gastroenterology Fellowship at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Finally, he completed his Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy Fellowship from Baylor College of Medicine.
His practice includes general gastroenterology with interests in GERD, Peptic ulcer disease, colorectal cancer screening and inflammatory bowel disease. His clinical interest includes the diagnosis, staging, and management of gastrointestinal malignancy and the utilization of therapeutic endoscopy to offer minimally invasive procedures.
In addition to upper endoscopy and colonoscopy, Dr. Aranez has specialized training in therapeutic endoscopy which encompasses Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), Cholangioscopy (Spyglass), Pancreatoscopy (Spyglass), Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), Endoscopic Mucosal Resection (EMR), Enteral Stents (esophageal, gastroduodenal, colon) and Luminal Apposing Metal Stents (LAMS).
He and his wife are the proud parents of two children. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family, exploring outdoor activities, and traveling. He is an avid sports fan and roots for the Cleveland Browns, Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
