Information Regarding COVID-19 & Our Practice

Long Beach Gastroenterology has made every attempt to service our patients during the coronavirus pandemic. We continue to monitor the situation closely and for the safety of our patients, staff, and physicians, we will follow all guidelines from both the government agencies and our medical organizations and societies.

We appreciate everyone's understanding and patience, and we remain committed to providing the quality care that has been the hallmark of our group's practice for nearly 40 years

We are happy to announce that we are re-opening our office to In-Office Visits and Procedures effective, June, 2020.

We have implemented the following protocols and safety precautions to protect our patients, staff and physicians.

Facility and Office Standards

  • All Workers, patients and physicians will be screened prior to entering our facility. This will include symptom screening as well as a temperature screen
  • Physical Distancing requirements will be recognized in all work areas and common areas
  • All Common Areas and Exam Rooms will be disinfected and wiped down in between patients and at regular intervals throughout the day
  • Face Coverings will be required for all Patients, Staff and Physicians
  • We will eliminate the use of our Reception Area. Patients will wait in their car until instructed to come into our office suite via text message
  • No Visitors will be allowed to accompany the patient unless medically necessary

Contact Free Arrival System for Office Visits

  • On the day of your appointment you will receive a text message from our office with instructions to reply to the text when you arrive in our parking lot
  • Please respond to this text when you arrive
  • We will acknowledge your arrival and request that you await further instructions
  • When safe to do so we will have you come into the office, alone, wearing a mask
  • Your temperature will be taken before entering the suite and you will be ushered into an exam room

Telehealth Visits

We will continue to offer Telehealth Visits for the bulk of our patient care Telehealth Visits will be mandatory for all patients for which Stay at Home Orders apply

Elective Procedures at Our Surgery Centers

We understand that you may have some concerns about potential exposure to COVID-19 if you seek treatment in a hospital or outpatient center. Rest assured in knowing that all of our facilities have taken every precaution in accordance with the guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to ensure the safety of our patients, staff and physicians. We place safety above all else, always.

Safety is our Top Priority

  • Our staff and physicians follow strict precautions with every patient encounter to prevent the spread of infection
  • Before entering our hospitals or outpatient centers, all individuals are screened for COVID-19 related symptoms, their temperatures are taken and a mask is mandatory upon entry
  • All of our personnel, from the people at the front desk who greet you, to our nurses, doctors and ancillary staff, are utilizing protective equipment (PPE) to ensure your safety and that of all others
  • Waiting areas are used only when necessary and then designed to maintain social distancing of at least six feet between individuals
  • Drive-thru COVID-19 testing sites are available for patients and testing is mandatory prior to any elective and non-elective procedure.
  • We maintain the most stringent compliance with the disinfecting and cleaning of all equipment and spaces

  1. Use a computer or device with camera/microphone

  2. Go to your provider's doxy.me website (See list below)

    1. Type in your name and click “check in”

  3. Allow your browser to use webcam and microphone

    1. Use Firefox or Chrome for PC

    2. Use Safari for iOS (iPads and iPhones)

    3. Use Chrome for Android phones

  4. Your Provider will then start your visit

Tips For Access to Telehealth Services 

  • Begin the call from a private, quiet location

  • Have a good internet connection

  • Restart your device before the visit
